On Monday, a student at the University of California, Davis, passed away in what the coroner’s office in Sacramento County has determined to be a suicide. 20-year-old Dylan Ian Stopinski, was identified as the student. At approximately 11:40 in the morning, a campus spokesman named Andy Fell informed the police that they had gotten a complaint of someone jumping from the parking structure located on Kleiber Hall Drive, which is close to the UCD fire and police departments.
After being taken to the UC Davis Medical Center, Stopinski ultimately passed away as a result of the injuries they had shortly after arriving there. According to Fell, Stopinski went to Buchanan High School in Clovis and graduated from the University of California, Davis in September 2022. He is currently pursuing a double major in history and English. It was reported that another student, Jade Basile, had petitioned a judge to seek a Civil Harassment Restraining Order (CHRO) against him.
According to Fell, Aggie Mental Health, which can be found at mental health.ucdavis.edu, offers options to students who have been impacted by Stopinski’s passing. Additionally, the institution provides postvention plans that include various sorts of aid, such as crisis intervention, psychological support, and other forms of assistance.
