A sixth form college was placed on lockdown in response to a knife incident that occurred nearby. On Monday, police were sent to a park located off Widney Manor Road in Solihull, close to Solihull Sixth Form College, according to a spokeswoman for the West Midlands Police. The area was reportedly experiencing disruption.
Nearby, a young man of seventeen years of age was taken into custody on suspicion of possessing a weapon.
The institution said that it “took the precautionary step of asking students and staff to remain on campus” despite the fact that the event did not take place on campus. Additionally, it was said that there were no pupils who had been injured, and the problem was rectified in a short amount of time.
Students have been given permission to exit the location since then.
